Born in Spain, made famous in France, and raised right here in our own Temecula Valley, this light dry sophisticated Grenache will delight your taste buds and leave you wanting more.
The first thing you notice is its moderate ruby color, with a touch of orange, reminiscent of Spain’s Priorato style wines. You’ll find pronounced aromas of raspberry, cherry, roasted red plum and a hint of licorice, without the typical earthiness you find in Grenache. On the palate, raspberry and a touch of Herbs de Provence with a nice long finish.
Abundant acidity, the lack of sweetness and an alcohol level of 13.8% balances well with the tannin structure. This wine is ready to drink now but don’t hesitate to let it mature for one to three years. Pair this wine with grilled or roasted lemon thyme chicken, pan roasted or grilled salmon or with a lean filet mignon, with a mixed berry and Grenache pan sauce.
