Bordeaux Varietals & Special Lots
Bordeaux varietals are at the heart of what we do, although we can't help but venture into other areas that pique our interest. We love a good red! Our mainstays are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and a Meritage blend. From time to time, we also release other Bordeaux varietals such as Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc. Other favorites include Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Cinsault.
Our reserve red wines are a special treat. They are produced in very small lots - only 25 to 50 cases at a time. They are pampered and aged for an extended period of time - at least 24 months - in very high quality new French oak.
Light & elegant with aromas of blackberry jam, fig, raisin & a hint of black pepper. Nice medium rum raisin finish.
Pleasing plum and cherry notes with a dash of cedar on the side. Classic Bordeaux structure with nice acidity and velvety tannins.
An intoxicating bouquet of Bing and bright red cherries greets your nose and carries through in the taste of this silky smooth wine.
Light, dry and sophisticated with aromas of raspberry, cherry, roasted red plum and a hint of licorice.
Sensual, yet subtle, with a long finish. Aromas of cola, dark cherry, dried raspberry and a hint of vanilla.
Full of yummy surprises! Black cherry, mulberry and hints of coffee on the nose, with mixed berries and roasted savory herbs on the palate.
Medium bodied and fruit forward with aromas of tobacco and cassis, with a hint of raspberry. Nice acidity and tannins that will get your attention.
Coyote Run is a surprisingly different Meritage blend – with Malbec and Petit Verdot complementing a base of Merlot. The Merlot and Malbec make it an “easy drinker” and the Petit Verdot gives the wine a nice, round mouthfeel.
This Middle Ridge Signataure Meritage is a wonderfully complex wine. It has luscious dark cherry aromas with a light floral note, and a beautiful finish with lingering tannins.
Typical of our Meritage blends, this wine is Merlot-centric. Lots of aromas, good Bordeaux-style acid structure with tanins that work well with any food. GOLD MEDAL winner at the 2014 Long Beach Grand Cru & 2014 Sommelier Challenge.
