Unlike the jammy character of so many on the market, this Malbec has fresh fruit and floral written all over it. Cherry and blackberry aromas capture your attention along with beautiful floral notes. The cherry continues on the palate and is accented with flavors of red plums, blackberries and raspberries. This “easy drinker” falls somewhere between a fruit forward Merlot and a structured Cabernet Sauvignon. Unlike a Cabernet Sauvignon, however, this wine is velvety smooth – the result of resting in French oak for 33 months. With just the right amount of richness and intensity, it’s a real crowd pleaser that is great on its own or served with lean meats, hearty stews and grilled sausages.
